Context
Oxbridge is a blended learning platform that empowers anyone, anywhere at any time to be the best they can be.
They have taught over 100k students and offer over 250 courses. Some of these include: A-levels & GCSEs, Childcare, Counselling, Health and Social Care, and more.
The Challenges
One statistic that is a rough measure of efficacy is turnaround time. That is because it takes into account both processes to manage assessments and the time taken to mark the work.
The process usually included submission, allocation, marking, review, and sending feedback.
Another challenge was the issues associated with consistency of feedback with multiple markers. When having tens of markers on a particular course, they can all say similar things in slightly different ways. This caused additional time in the review stage of work.
The final challenge was managing invoicing with all the markers. This required a lot of backchecking, reviewing, and processing.
Results
Due to Graide's assessment management workflow, submission, allocation, and sending feedback was done automatically. This reduced the turnaround time to days.
Graide's marking interface sped up marking time, and also ensured consistency of feedback due to rubric management.
As Graide has an interaction management system, Oxbridge knew exactly how much work was done and by which marker. This made invoice management much easier and more transparent.
